U.S. Soccer Launches 2026 Under-14 Girls’ Talent Identification Camp

ATLANTA (Feb. 17, 2026) – As part of its commitment to nurturing young female talent, U.S. Soccer is set to kick off the first regional mini-camp of 2026 for the Under-14 Girls’ Talent Identification Program. This event will bring together 80 promising players from the West Region at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, from February 18 to 22.

A Platform for Young Talent

This mini-camp presents a unique opportunity for exceptional young female athletes born in 2012 to demonstrate their skills in front of U.S. National Team coaches and scouts. The U-14 TID program not only emphasizes player development but also seeks to enhance opportunities for female coaches and scouts. Notably, the coaching team at this camp will consist entirely of women, reflecting the U.S. Women’s National Team’s commitment to fostering an inclusive environment led by head coach Emma Hayes.

Coaching Staff and Program Structure

The camp will be helmed by U.S. Talent ID managers Krystle Seidel and Christina Murillo. They will work alongside eight women who are integral to the Women’s Youth National Team Scouting Network, creating a supportive and educational atmosphere. Participants will engage in various activities, including training sessions, matches, and video analysis, all designed to enhance their performance and understanding of the game.

With the motto “If you can see it, you can be it,” the camp aims to surround players with inspiring female role models, including a support staff comprised largely of women.

Player Representation from the West Region

The selected players hail from several states, including Arizona, Nevada, Northern and Southern California, Oregon, Washington, and Utah. This geographical diversity enriches the camp experience, ensuring a comprehensive representation of talent from the West Region.

Goals of the U-14 TID Program

The U-14 Talent Identification Program aims to discover a broader base of high-potential players through extensive scouting, building a solid foundation for the U-15 Girls’ National Teams. By introducing participants to the principles of the U.S. Way, this initiative focuses on player development while providing educational topics such as nutrition, rest, recovery, and self-evaluation tools, empowering players to take charge of their growth.

The regional mini-camp format not only minimizes travel requirements but also ensures that players can maintain their commitments to home, school, and club, reinforcing a balanced approach to development.

Upcoming Mini-Camps in 2026

In addition to the West Region camp, U.S. Soccer will host two more U-14 TID Mini-Camps this year: one in the South in March and another in the North in April, both set to take place in Atlanta.
