California Women’s Golf Kicks Off Spring Season at Therese Hession Regional Challenge
PALOS VERDES, CA – The California Golden Bears women’s golf team began their highly anticipated 2026 spring season on a challenging note during the first round of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge. Senior standout Adora Liu led the team with a solid performance, shooting an even par 71, which placed her in a commendable seventh position.
Team Performance Overview
While Liu showcased her skills on the course, the rest of the Bears faced significant challenges throughout the round. Freshman Michelle Woo ended the day in 73rd place with a score of 8-over 79. Fellow teammates Anna Molloy and Jasmine Kahler struggled as well, tying for 77th after both recorded a score of 9-over par 80. Junior Constance Fouillet rounded out the Bears’ efforts with a 12-over par 83, placing her further down the leaderboard.
Current Standings
As it stands, the California women’s golf team is in 16th position with hopes to improve in subsequent rounds. The team is set to return to the course for their second round tomorrow, teeing off at 10:36 a.m. PT.
