Stockton first responders praise Ding’s proven leadership and vision for San Joaquin County

San Joaquin County Supervisor Steve Ding, who represents District 4, has secured the endorsement of Stockton Professional Firefighters Local 456 for his re-election bid. The endorsement reflects the union’s confidence in Ding’s leadership and his ongoing partnership with first responders serving the community.

In a formal letter of endorsement, Matt Uhrich, 2nd Vice President and PAC representative for Stockton first responders praise Ding’s proven leadership and vision for San Joaquin County.

“We believe your proven leadership, experience, and vision will continue to positively impact San Joaquin County as it moves forward,” Uhrich stated in the endorsement letter. “Your continued partnership has been of great value, and we are confident it will remain strong as you pursue election to your second term.”

Supervisor Ding currently represents District 4 on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors and is seeking reelection to continue serving the district. The endorsement from Local 456 represents a meaningful show of support from the professional firefighters who serve Stockton and surrounding areas.

The firefighters’ union emphasized the importance of Ding’s collaborative approach and his commitment to working alongside first responders. The endorsement highlights the working relationship that has developed between the supervisor’s office and the firefighting community during his first term in office.

Stockton Professional Firefighters Local 456 represents the professional firefighters who protect the city of Stockton and serve the broader community. The union’s Political Action Committee evaluates candidates based on their commitment to public safety, support for first responders, and overall vision for the community. In the endorsement letter, Uhrich expressed the union’s eagerness to continue working with Ding, stating they “look forward to continuing our work together and supporting your efforts in the future.”

The endorsement from Stockton Professional Firefighters Local 456 represents strong backing from organized labor and the public safety community as Supervisor Ding campaigns for a second term representing District 4 on the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors.
