CATHEDRAL CITY – The California Golden Bears softball team faced a challenging matchup against the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, suffering a narrow defeat with a final score of 7-5.
Game Highlights
Junior Carly Raven was a standout player, driving in two crucial runs and hitting her third home run of the weekend during the intense battle. Raven’s contributions were pivotal, as she gave the Bears an early lead in the second inning with a single that followed Kayli Counts‘s equalizing hit to right field.
In the third inning, Kyndal Todd and Gator Robinson extended California’s lead to 4-1 with impressive home runs back-to-back.
