California CIF High School Boys Basketball Playoffs: Schedule & Results

The California CIF high school boys basketball playoffs are heating up, showcasing the state’s elite teams competing for glory in both Northern and Southern California.

Northern California Action

Central Coast Section Open Division

On Monday, February 23, the Top 50 ranked Archbishop Riordan Crusaders from San Francisco will face off against the King’s Academy Knights from Sunnyvale. This matchup is a critical part of the Central Coast Section’s Open Division pool play. The stakes will rise on Wednesday, February 25, as the Crusaders take on the Bellarmine College Prep Bells from San Jose. Following pool play, the semifinals and finals are set to unfold later this week, paving the way for the state championship.

Additionally, in a highly anticipated North Coast Open Division semifinal on Wednesday, the Salesian College Prep Pride from Richmond will be competing against the De La Salle Spartans from Concord, marking their return to the court after an extended break.

Southern California Highlights

Southern Section Open Division

The spotlight in Southern California remains on the Southern Section’s Open Division. The semifinals scheduled for Tuesday, February 24 will feature the highly-ranked Sierra Canyon Trailblazers from Chatsworth, currently standing at No. 9 in the state, battling against the Notre Dame SO Knights from Sherman Oaks. In another thrilling semifinal, the Harvard-Westlake Wolverines from Studio City will go head-to-head with the La Mirada Matadores.

Central Section Division I Championship

In a highly anticipated matchup, the St. Joseph Knights from Santa Maria will compete against the Buchanan Bears from Clovis for the Central Section Division I championship on Saturday evening, February 28.
