Gulf-California Broadcast Company to Air San Diego Padres Games in 2026

Palm Springs, Calif. – Fans of Major League Baseball will have an exciting 2026 season ahead, as the Gulf-California Broadcast Company has announced an agreement to air 10 San Diego Padres games on its local television stations. This agreement marks a return of live Padres broadcasts, further enriching the viewing experience for baseball enthusiasts in the Coachella Valley.

Key Details of the Broadcast Agreement

The San Diego Padres games will be available from April 11, 2026, through September 5, 2026. Depending on the day’s programming schedule, games will be aired on:

  • KESQ News Channel 3
  • KPSP CBS Local 2
  • KCWQ CW5

Jerry Upham, General Manager of Gulf-California Broadcast Company, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership, stating, “We’re excited to bring live San Diego Padres games to our television stations again this upcoming baseball season. This is a unique opportunity to share great live games with our local viewers, including big matchups against the LA Dodgers, New York Yankees, and Toronto Blue Jays, among others. Gulf-California Broadcasting is proud to be the over-the-air broadcast home for the Padres here in the Coachella Valley.”

  • April 11, 2026: vs. Colorado Rockies at 5:30 p.m. on KPSP

May

  • May 2, 2026: vs. Chicago White Sox at 5:30 p.m. on KCWQ
  • May 8, 2026: vs. St. Louis Cardinals at 6:30 p.m. on KESQ
  • May 23, 2026: vs. Oakland Athletics at 6:30 p.m. on KCWQ

June

  • June 27, 2026: vs. LA Dodgers at 5:30 p.m. on KESQ

  • July 4, 2026: @ LA Dodgers at 7:00 p.m. on KPSP
  • July 11, 2026: vs. Toronto Blue Jays at 6:30 p.m. on KESQ
