UCLA Men’s Golf Team Set to Compete at The Desimone Invitational

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA men’s golf team is gearing up for an exciting week as they participate in The Desimone Invitational, hosted at the scenic Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, California, on March 9-10.

Tournament Format and Schedule

This prestigious event will feature a 54-hole stroke play format with two rounds scheduled for Monday and a final round on Tuesday. Fans can keep track of live scores during the tournament by visiting the Scoreboard.

Monday’s Schedule:

  • Start Time: 8:45 a.m. PT
  • Rounds: 36 holes

Tuesday’s Schedule:

  • Start Time: 8:30 a.m. PT
  • Rounds: 18 holes

Competitive Field

The Desimone Invitational will host 15 collegiate teams, including 10 currently ranked in the top 40 according to the latest Scoreboard rankings. The teams competing in this year’s tournament include:

  • Pepperdine (10)
  • San Jose State (83)
  • Southern Methodist (62)

UCLA’s Recent Performance

This tournament will be the fourth of seven spring events for the UCLA Bruins, leading up to the Big Ten Tournament. In their most recent outing, UCLA finished in a three-way tie for 12th place at the Southern Highlands Collegiate in Las Vegas, shooting a total of 22-over 886. Earlier, the Bruins secured a 14th place finish among 20 teams at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate in Hawaii.

The Bruins team for The Desimone Invitational includes:

Course Information

The venue, Lake Merced Golf Club, is a par 72 course measuring 6,915 yards. Its stunning layout provides a challenging yet enjoyable experience for all competitors.
