Washington State Women’s Rowing Concludes Strong Showing at San Diego Crew Classic
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 29, 2026) – Washington State University’s women’s rowing team finished a competitive weekend at the San Diego Crew Classic, securing fifth-place finishes across all events on Sunday’s Grand Finals. This performance has set the stage for future races.

Women’s Collegiate Varsity 8+
The Cougars began the day with the 1V8 shell, finishing fifth in the Champ Women’s Collegiate 8+ with a time of 7:08.75. They trailed behind notable competitors:
- Texas: 6:32.28 (1st place)
- Washington: 6:39.13 (2nd place)
- California: 6:49.88 (3rd place)

Women’s Collegiate Varsity 4+
In the Women’s Collegiate V4+, the Cougars repeated their fifth-place finish with a time of 8:26.61, again falling behind UCLA (8:03.05), Texas (7:41.16), Washington (7:42.94), and California (7:51.16), who captured the top three positions.

Closing out the day, Washington State’s 2V 8+ also secured fifth place, clocking in at 7:34.58, ahead of San Diego (7:40.17). The standings were dominated by:
