Cal Women’s Golf Team Shows Strong Performance at Silverado Showdown

NAPA, CA – The California Golden Bears women’s golf team opened the Chevron Silverado Showdown with impressive results, finishing the first day in fifth place with a score of 5-over par 293. This puts them just one stroke behind Oregon, currently in fourth place.

Adora Liu Shines for California

Leading the Bears was senior Adora Liu, who displayed remarkable skill on the course with an even par 72, placing her in a tie for 14th position overall. Liu has consistently delivered strong performances, contributing significantly to the team’s competitive edge.

Freshman Stars and Senior Standouts

Freshman Michelle Woo and senior Anna Molloy both finished the day with a score of 1-over par 73, putting them in a tie for 24th place. Their contributions have been vital in keeping the team competitive in a challenging field.

Consistent Performances from Upperclassmen

Juniors Constance Fouillet and Jasmine Kahler battled through the first round, each scoring 3-over par 75 and finishing tied for 43rd place. Their experience is invaluable as the tournament progresses.

The California women’s golf team will return to the course tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. PT, aiming to close the gap on the leading teams and improve their standing in the Silverado Showdown.
