Celebrate Creativity at the 2026 California Mid-State Fair

PASO ROBLES, CA — The California Mid-State Fair, a cherished annual event, is marking its 80th anniversary in 2026 and inviting residents of San Luis Obispo County to showcase their talents through the Community Exhibits Competitions. This diverse platform welcomes residents of all ages to participate in a variety of categories, including baking, painting, crocheting, photography, and other creative crafts.

Monthly Crafting Classes to Spark Inspiration

In an effort to encourage first-time participants, the fair has introduced a Monthly Crafting Class. Kicking off with a Crochet Class on Wednesday, March 25, at the Paso Robles Event Center’s Frontier Building, these classes aim to build skills and confidence among aspiring competitors. The adult session for participants aged 18 and older will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, with registration closing on March 20. A suggested donation of $10 is encouraged. Attendees will leave with a completed project eligible for entry in the Exhibits Department at the fair.

Your Work on Display

Participating in the California Mid-State Fair not only offers a chance to exhibit your work to thousands of attendees but also the opportunity to compete for coveted ribbons. This year’s theme, “Back to the ’80s!”, promises to add a nostalgic flair to the celebrations from July 15 to July 26. Whether you’re an experienced artisan or a beginner looking to share your passion, this competition provides a vibrant platform to shine.

Join the Celebration

The 2026 California Mid-State Fair is not just about competition; it’s a celebration of the rich creativity and community spirit that defines San Luis Obispo County. Get ready to showcase your talent and immerse yourself in a festival filled with laughter, joy, and unforgettable experiences.

For more details on registration and additional classes, visit the California Mid-State Fair.

Conclusion

Mark your calendars and start crafting for a chance to contribute to the fair’s legacy as it honors 80 years of artistic expression and community involvement. The time to showcase your creativity is now—don’t miss out on being part of this landmark anniversary!
